Are you a motivated and relationship-driven insurance professional looking to take the next step in your Underwriting Career? We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Underwriter to join our Sydney Financial Lines team and support our growing Financial Lines portfolio.

About the role:

You will play a key role in managing and growing a Financial Lines portfolio by handling renewals, assessing and converting recent business opportunities, and delivering responsive, high‑quality service to brokers. You’ll monitor portfolio performance, ensure compliance with underwriting and legislative requirements, stay across industry developments, and actively participate in market engagement and networking activities.

Responsibilities Include:

- Manage and service an existing Financial Lines portfolio, including renewals and mid‑term adjustments
- Assess and underwrite new business opportunities in line with authority and guidelines
- Strengthen and maintain strong broker relationships through responsive and professional service
- Conduct portfolio reviews to monitor performance, profitability, and trends
- Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, legislative requirements, and internal policies
- Attend networking events, broker meetings, and industry functions as required

About You:

- 2+ years’ experience as a Financial Lines underwriter
- Strong understanding of the Australian insurance market.
- A commitment to following, applying, and interpreting underwriting guidelines.




- Strong commercial acumen and a determination to maintain a profitable portfolio.
- Positive, professional, and proactive attitude.
- Strong sales orientation, with confidence in pursuing and closing new business.
