The Opportunity

Based in Brisbane, you'll take ownership of preparing accurate, competitive estimates across a diverse mix of commercial construction projects for both government and private clients. This is estimating with real variety, not the same building type on repeat, and real influence, where your read on risk and opportunity genuinely shapes whether a bid gets won.

Reporting to the Estimating Manager,



you'll work closely with project managers, architects, engineers and subcontractors to build comprehensive, well-considered bid proposals, and you'll be trusted to communicate directly with clients on scope, cost and timeline with confidence and clarity.

What You'll Be Doing

- Preparing accurate and competitive estimates across a range of commercial construction projects for public and private clients
- Evaluating project plans and specifications, analysing costs, and coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to build comprehensive bid proposals
- Working closely with project managers, architects, engineers and other stakeholders to gather information and clarify project requirements
- Communicating clearly with clients so they understand the scope, cost and timeline of every project

What You'll Bring

- Solid practical experience pricing commercial construction projects
- Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field
- Advanced skills in computerised estimating software, ideally Buildsoft or Cube-iT
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience managing subcontractor bids and negotiations
- A sharp understanding of industry and project risk, and the strategic opportunities that win work
- Strong knowledge of the construction process and the challenges that come with it
- A track record of building and maintaining strong customer relationships
