The opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Allied Health Assistant (Grade 3 – Physiotherapy) to join our Adult Allied Health & Chronic Disease Care team.

In this dynamic role, you will support the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care to adult clients living with:

- Chronic and complex health conditions
- Neurological conditions
- Disability and rehabilitation needs
- Age-related mobility and health challenges

We are working to transition in the future to a multidisciplinary team service model, where you will deliver both clinical and program support under the supervision of allied health professionals while contributing to improved client outcomes and service innovation. You will receive strong clinical support from our Physiotherapists and broader Allied Health team, ensuring you continue to grow and develop professionally.

This is a Permanent Part-time 0.8 EFT position which is primarily based at our Doncaster site, with flexibility to work across multiple AccessHC locations and within the community.

About the role

This is a varied and rewarding role where you will work across multiple service settings, including:

- Clinic-based care
- Client home visits
- Community and outreach services
- Group programs and education sessions
- Telehealth delivery

You will play a key role in supporting clients to improve independence, mobility and quality of life through personalised, goal-based interventions and active participation in their care.

What you will be doing Key responsibilities

- Deliver delegated clinical services (individual and group-based) within scope and under the guidance of an Allied Health Professional
- Support Allied Health Professionals with client interventions and care plans
- Assist in group program facilitation and education sessions
- Monitor client progress and report outcomes to supervising clinicians
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Support administration, program coordination and follow-up
- Participate in quality improvement and service development initiatives
- Contribute to a protected, client-centred, evidence-based care environment





What you will bring Key Selection Criteria

- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a health or community setting
- Experience delivering physiotherapy or allied health programs (clinic and/or community)
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
- Confidence working with clients independently under supervision
