About the role

Nati Access Company Pty Ltd is seeking skilled a reliable Rope Access Technician / Electrical Tradesperson who will perform rope access work on wind turbine towers, nacelles, and blades in accordance with IRATA requirements and site procedures. The role combines rope access duties with electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks within wind turbine towers and associated plant.

Key responsibilities

Rope Access Duties

- Perform rope access work on wind turbine towers, nacelles, and blades in accordance with IRATA requirements and site procedures

- Perform a wide variety of tasks as required by the scope, including but not limited to: mechanical repair, coatings remediation, rigging and lifting activities, inspection, survey and reporting

- Assist with blade inspections, cleaning, repairs, composite works, and structural maintenance as directed

- Conduct safe rigging, system setup, equipment checks and pre-task assessments prior to all rope access activities

- Follow turbine-specific work instructions, maintenance procedures, and OEM manuals (e.g., Vestas, Siemens Gamesa, GE)

- Report rope access hours and logbook entries accurately in accordance with IRATA requirements

- Operate as part of a rope access team ensuring all work complies with IRATA ICoP, GWO standards, and site rules

- Assist with rescue preparedness, rescue planning, and emergency response drills

Electrical Tradesperson Duties





- Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks within wind turbine towers and associated plant

- Carry out testing, fault-finding, and verification of electrical systems in accordance with Australian electrical standards and site-specific requirements

- Install, maintain, and inspect electrical components such as cabling, switchboards, control panels, sensors, and turbine auxiliary systems

- Complete electrical isolations, LOTO procedures, and reinstatement in accordance with authorised access protocols

- Record electrical work, test results, and compliance documentation accurately in digital systems

About you

- IRATA Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3 (valid and current)

- GWO Basic Safety Training (Working at Heights, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, First Aid)

- White Card (Construction Induction)

- LVR/CPR

- Australian Electrical Licence (A Grade or equivalent)

- Rope access hours consistent with IRATA level held

- Experience performing electrical installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance in an industrial or renewable energy setting

- Ability to complete site documentation and digital reports accurately

- Strong understanding of safe work at heights, rope access systems, and WHS obligations

- Competent with hand tools, power tools, electrical testing equipment, and turbine-specific tools
