We are seeking a full-time Storeperson to support our maintenance operation by managing aviation parts, tooling and equipment to ensure serviceability, traceability and compliance. This is a hands-on role that works closely with Maintenance and Engineering to keep the operation moving.

Role Purpose

The Store Person is responsible for the overall operations of goods received, dispatched, and allocated within the airside storage facility in Melbourne.

Duties and Responsibilities

General

The Store Person role has the following duties:

- Conduct technical inspection and conformity checks of aircraft parts, tooling and equipment against approved documentation, airworthiness requirements and HMRO MOE procedures prior to release for maintenance use.

- Provide support to maintenance operations by ensuring accurate traceability, serviceability status and shelf-life control of aircraft components and consumables.

- Manage inventory and records in approved maintenance and ERP platforms (currently Envision), ensuring accurate receipting, issuing and stock control.

- Analyse usage trends and maintenance demand to forecast material requirements, supporting procurement planning and minimising AOG risk.

- Raise and manage material requisitions, purchase orders and quotes in accordance with approved maintenance and procurement systems.

- Coordinate with Head Office, airport authorities and suppliers to ensure compliant movement, access and delivery of aviation materials and equipment.

- Undertake routine stock audits and investigate discrepancies impacting maintenance or compliance outcomes.

- Handle and store controlled substances and hazardous materials in accordance with MSDS/SDS, aviation safety regulations,



airport procedures and HMRO safety practices.

- Coordinate inspection, maintenance, repair and compliance of GSE and airside assets, including registration and serviceability tracking.

- Support maintenance readiness by managing tooling availability, loan tooling turnaround and MEL-related material requirements.

- Prepare technical and compliance reporting in line with head office and regulatory requirements.

- Act as system support for Envision and assist with migration to IFS.

- Following the ‘’Just Culture’’ protocol

- Actively ensuring adherence to SOPS

- Maintaining a clean storage facility environment

What are we looking for?

- You should have at least 2 years of experience working as a Store Person and be familiar with the operations of a technically tracked system (i.e., not manually or paper-based tracking).

- Please note that a forklift licence is not required for this position. However, you must have a driver’s licence or be able to obtain one within 3 months (e.g., transferring an interstate licence is acceptable).

- The role requires a high level of attention to detail and patience, as many of the parts in the storage facility are small and can resemble one another, alongside larger items.

- Ability to plan and prioritise work in a fast-paced environment.

- Sound understanding of safe handling and storage requirements, including hazardous substances.

- You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident, as we are not sponsoring for this role.
