About the role

Oberon RSL Club is seeking a Bar Attendant to join our vibrant hospitality team on a part-time basis. Based in Oberon, NSW 2787, this role is fundamental to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining the high standards our members and guests expect. As a Bar Attendant, you will be the face of our establishment, creating memorable experiences whilst efficiently managing bar operations and ensuring compliance with all relevant hospitality regulations.

Key responsibilities

- Preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to members and guests with accuracy and professionalism

- Taking customer orders and processing payments using point-of-sale systems

- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glasses, bottles and equipment

- Restocking bar supplies and monitoring inventory levels

- Adhering to responsible service of alcohol (RSA) protocols and relevant liquor licensing laws

- Providing friendly and engaging customer service, building rapport with regular patrons

- Assisting with bar setup and breakdown at the beginning and end of shifts

- Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth bar operations during busy periods

- Following food safety and hygiene standards at all times

What we're looking for

- Current or willingness to obtain Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification

- Proven experience working in a bar, pub or hospitality setting

- Strong knowledge of a variety of beverages, cocktails and spirits

- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour

- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak service times

- Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic maths skills





- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry items weighing up to 15kg

- Strong communication and teamwork abilities

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends

- A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional service
