About the role
We are looking for an experienced travel-industry professional who is passionate about training, developing people and helping independent travel advisors build successful, sustainable businesses. This is not a purely sales-focused role. You will become a trusted partner to a portfolio of MTA advisors, providing practical business guidance, coaching, problem-solving and ongoing support. A current part of the role is delivering MTA's three-day Welcome Training program each month at our Gold Coast Head Office, helping recent advisors establish their businesses and begin their MTA journey with confidence. You will also conduct regular advisor business check-ins, deliver engaging lunchtime learning sessions and work closely with the wider Head Office team to identify opportunities, resolve challenges and strengthen advisor engagement and success.
Key responsibilities
- Build trusted relationships with MTA advisors and provide ongoing business support
- Coach advisors to establish, strengthen and grow their businesses
- Deliver MTA's three-day Welcome Training program each month
- Support new advisors through onboarding and their early stages with MTA
- Conduct structured business check-ins and identify opportunities for growth, profitability and improved business practices
- Develop and deliver practical training, including lunchtime learning sessions
- Support advisor retention,
engagement and wellbeing
- Connect advisors with the right people, tools and resources across Head Office
- Gather feedback from the network and contribute to improvements in training, systems and support
- Work collaboratively with the recruitment and wider MTA teams
About you
- Travel-industry experience, which is essential
- Previous experience as a travel advisor, which would be highly regarded
- A genuine passion for training, coaching and developing others
- Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills
- An understanding of the challenges involved in running a travel business
- The ability to provide practical, commercially focused business guidance
- A collaborative and adaptable approach
- Confidence working independently as part of a national team
- Curiosity, initiative and a willingness to introduce new ideas
