Our nonprofit client is empowering young people and people with disability to live their best lives and reach their full potential. They need an experienced Quality Manager for approximately 10 weeks to provide organisation-wide leadership across quality assurance, safeguarding, clinical governance, standards compliance, risk management and continuous improvement.

This is an influential role where you will be directly involved with shaping quality systems, strengthening best practice, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting excellent person-centred outcomes to prepare for an upcoming audit.

You will drive the ongoing implementation of the organisation's Quality Management and Safeguarding Framework, lead internal and external audit activities, provide clinical governance oversight and help embed a genuine culture of continuous improvement and best practice throughout the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading quality assurance and safeguarding frameworks
- Developing and implementing the annual Quality Assurance Strategy
- Leading internal audits and supporting future planned external accreditation and audit processes
- Providing oversight of clinical governance, risk and complex cases
- Monitoring restrictive practices and supporting strategies to reduce their use
- Maintaining oversight of organisational risks, incidents and corrective actions
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives using feedback, audit findings and organisational data
- Providing quality, governance and risk reporting to the Board and Senior Leadership Team
- Mentoring and developing quality and compliance team members





You will be an experienced leader who can balance strategy with practical implementation using a problem solving approach. You understand that quality is more than compliance. It is about creating systems, practices and a culture that delivers safe, person-centred services.

To succeed in this position, you will bring:

- A bachelor’s degree in Health, Nursing, Allied Health, Social Work or a related discipline
- Extensive experience in clinical governance, quality management or healthcare leadership, ideally within disability or youth services and out of home care settings
- Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory and legislative frameworks, including NDIS Practice Standards and HSQF
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing quality frameworks, policies and procedures
- Experience managing clinical risk and safety within complex service environments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capability
- An understanding of human rights and Person-Centred Active Support

The successful applicant will be required to hold and maintain relevant employment screening and credentials, including:

- Queensland Disability Worker Screening clearance
- Working with Children Check / Blue Card
- LCS2 Child Safety and Personal History Screening
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Australian Open Driver's Licence
