Remuneration: $49.17 to $53.60 per hour + superannuation & leave loading

Council is seeking a Grants Acquisition Officer to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to identify, develop and secure grant funding opportunities that support Council’s strategic priorities, advocacy objectives and long-term financial sustainability.

About the Role
The Grants Acquisition Officer responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Identify, promote and coordinate grant funding opportunities that align with Council’s strategic priorities, advocacy objectives and financial plans.
- Manage the grants application process, including tracking progress, ensuring compliance with funding requirements, and coordinating acquittals and reporting.
- Collaborate with operational teams and subject matter experts to research, develop and submit high-quality grant, funding and award applications.
- Maintain grant registers and provide oversight of grant-related activities across the organisation.
- Support the delivery of major Council projects through the preparation of funding submissions, reports and supporting documentation.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of grant frameworks, policies and processes to maximise funding success.




- Coordinate Letters of Support and other grant-related correspondence for community groups and external stakeholders.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Degree or Diploma in a related field with relevant experience or lesser formal qualification with substantial experience or extensive relevant experience in the field.
- Significant experience in writing grant submissions.
- Strong computer skills and competency using Microsoft products with the ability to adapt quickly to other software programs.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) for diverse audiences.
- A valid Driver’s Licence.
- A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check.
- Satisfactory National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
