About the chance

Our client is a well-established, family-owned Australian fresh produce business with more than 50 years of experience and four generations of hands-on expertise. They grow quality product on trusted NSW farms and supply it through to major supermarkets, and they take real pride in continuous improvement.

They're now looking for an experienced Production Manager to step in for an initial 8-week engagement, keep operations running smoothly and make an immediate impact. For the right person, this is a genuine chance to move into a permanent role.

The role
Lead and coordinate daily production, packing and dispatch operations
Manage, motivate and roster production teams to meet volume and quality targets
Plan production schedules to meet customer and retail supply demands
Drive a robust safety culture and ensure compliance with WHS and food safety standards
Monitor KPIs including yield, wastage, efficiency and labour cost,



and act on what the numbers tell you
Identify and implement practical process improvements
Work closely with the growing, quality, logistics and commercial teams

About you
Proven experience as a Production Manager or Operations Manager in food manufacturing, fresh produce, agriculture or a similar fast-paced FMCG environment
Strong people leadership, with the ability to earn the respect of a hands-on, shop-floor team
Working knowledge of food safety and quality systems (HACCP, SQF or equivalent)
Comfortable making decisions quickly and getting stuck in when needed
Commercially minded, with a good eye for efficiency and continuous improvement
Available to start immediately, or on short notice
