Position: HD Mechanic – Earthmoving & Road Transport

Position Overview:

B&J; Catalano is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our Hazelmere operations.

This is a hands-on role working across a diverse fleet of heavy earthmoving equipment and road transport vehicles, so we’re looking for someone with solid experience across both areas.

What you’ll be doing:
Servicing, maintenance and repairs across heavy earthmoving and road transport equipment.
Fault finding, diagnostics and breakdown repairs.
Working on CAT and Hitachi earthmoving equipment.
Maintaining and repairing Volvo and other heavy road transport vehicles.
Carrying out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
Identifying faults and completing repairs to a high standard.
Maintaining accurate service and maintenance records.
Working closely with the workshop and operations teams.
Following Company safety procedures and maintaining a protected work area.

What we’re looking for:
Australian recognised Heavy Diesel/Heavy Vehicle trade qualification.
WA HR Driver’s Licence.
Current National Police Clearance (NPC) desirable.
High Risk Work Licence (DG, LF, CN) desirable.




Demonstrated experience working as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic.
Experience across both earthmoving equipment and heavy road transport vehicles.
Experience with CAT and Hitachi equipment.
Experience with Volvo trucks/road haulage equipment.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
