As a Principal Policy Officer you will:

Provide high level advice to ensure the productive, effective and coordinated development of whole of government solutions to complex human services policy issues.
Provide strategic analysis and advice on complex policy, legislative and/or intergovernmental relations issues.
Provide leadership and coordination of responses to contribute to achieving identified outcomes.
Research and advise on contemporary policy and legislative frameworks, based on evidence and best practice locally, nationally and internationally.
Develop and maintain effective partnerships across the department, Queensland Government,



nationally and with other stakeholders to ensure identified needs and issues are appropriately reflected in policy, legislation and intergovernmental frameworks.
Contribute as a member of a policy unit to meet all elements of the work program on time and within budget while building the capacity of team members.
Contribute to meeting the Cabinet work program, consistent with Government commitments and directions set by the Minister and Director-General, meeting all deadlines and performance requirements.
