Position: Trainee Service Person / Trade Assistant

Position Overview:

B&J; Catalano is looking for a Trainee Serviceperson / Trade Assistant to join our Brunswick Workshop team.

Previous experience in a mechanical, workshop, servicing or similar setting is preferred, not essential. For the right person with a valuable attitude and willingness to learn, we’re happy to provide training and development.

What you’ll be doing:
Assisting with servicing and basic maintenance of heavy equipment and vehicles.
Supporting Mechanics and workshop personnel with day-to-day tasks.
Checking and topping up oils, fluids and lubricants.
Assisting with inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
General workshop duties, cleaning and housekeeping.
Learning servicing requirements and developing practical mechanical skills.

What we’re looking for:
Some mechanical, workshop or servicing experience preferred, but not essential.
Current WA HR Driver’s Licence.
High Risk Work Licences (DG, FL) desirable.
An interest in heavy equipment, trucks or mechanical work.




Willingness to learn and take direction.
Reliable with a good work ethic.
Robust focus on safety and working as part of a team.
