About the role

Consolidated Hospitality Pty Ltd operates a up-to-date restaurant/cafe in Macleod, offering a wide-ranging menu with a focus on freshly prepared food and quality ingredients. We are seeking an experienced and reliable Cook to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. The successful applicant must be confident working in a busy commercial kitchen and consistently delivering well-prepared dishes to established quality and presentation standards.

Key responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes, portion standards and presentation requirements.
Check food and ingredients for quality and freshness throughout preparation and cooking.
Operate ovens, grills, fryers and other commercial cooking equipment, including regulating temperatures and cooking times.
Season, portion and plate dishes consistently, including sauces, garnishes and accompaniments.
Prepare food to meet customer dietary requirements and allergen-related requests where required.
Store, label and rotate food correctly, including maintaining appropriate temperature-controlled storage.




Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic work area and comply with food safety and workplace health and safety requirements.
Work closely with other kitchen staff and front-of-house staff to support efficient service and resolve preparation or service issues.

About you
Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or Kitchen Management (Certificate III or higher), or an equivalent recognised qualification.
At least 1 year of relevant experience working as a Cook in a commercial restaurant kitchen.
Sound knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, portion control, food storage and hygiene requirements.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining consistent food quality and presentation.
Valuable communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a kitchen team.
Availability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays as required.
