About the Role

We are seeking a calm, patient, and gentle Female Disability Support Worker to support a very young female client living in Roseworthy.

Due to her diagnosis, the client is soft-spoken and highly sensitive to noise, loud talking, or high volumes.

The ideal candidate will have a naturally quiet, reassuring demean or and a solid understanding of how to create a peaceful workplace while helping the client build confidence and manage anxiety.

Key Responsibilities & NDIS Goals Your primary focus will be guiding the client toward her NDIS goals, which include:
Daily Living Skills: Assisting the client to build independence with everyday tasks, household management, and daily routines.
Social & Communication Skills: Supporting the client to gradually engage more with others, improve communication, and interact comfortably with people.
Anxiety & Fear Management:



Providing emotional support to help her understand, navigate, and manage her fears and anxiety in a secure, controlled manner.
Community Engagement: Accompanying her on low-stress community outings to increase social connection and engagement at her own pace.

Position Requirements: To ensure the client’s safety and compliance with NDIS Practice Standards, you must hold and maintain:
Educational Certification: Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or a relevant community services field.
First Aid & CPR: Current, valid HLTAID011 Provide First Aid and HLTAID009 Provide CPR certifications.
Clearances:
Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
Working with Children Check (WWCC)
Current National Police Check (must be less then 3 month old)
Transport: Valid Australian Driver’s Licence with a reliable, insured vehicle.
Working Rights: Eligibility to work in Australia. (Student can also apply).

Pay: $26.44 – $52.71 per hour

Expected hours: 4.0 – 13.0 per week
