Description

Matrix Education is now hiring Maths Teachers for Year 7 through to Year 10 to join us at our Box Hill campus on a casual basis. We’re currently recruiting for Friday classes, with the potential for further classes to open up in future.
Casual | $63/hour + superannuation
Start Date – Immediate for training

This role is ideal for anyone who is a subject matter expert who can explain things clearly and is passionate about their area of expertise! Our team is a diverse group of high school teachers, corporate professionals, educational outreach staff, university teaching staff and post graduate university students. Classes commence at 4:30pm on weekdays or from 9:00am on weekends at our fabulous Box Hill campus.





You will have the prospect to work with a fun and talented team in a great work workplace. Minimal lesson preparation is required as lessons and resources are provided for you.

What you’ll do…
Teaching regular weekly classes throughout the academic term (all lesson materials and resources are prepared for you).
Ongoing monitoring of student’s academic progress through marking of short weekly quizzes.
Flagging of struggling students to academic team leaders for additional academic mentoring.

What you’ll need…
A genuine passion for teaching.
Previous experience teaching Maths in a classroom setting.
Completed their degree in Education, Mathematics, Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
Postgraduate studies in the above listed disciplines will be highly regarded.
