Female Disability Support Worker –Stuart Town

Australian Community Home Care is seeking a female Disability Support Worker to provide high-quality, person-centred support to a participant with complex care needs in her home and community.

Due to the personal care nature of this role (including intimate support, showering, changing, and transfers), a female support worker is required to ensure the participant’s comfort, dignity, and cultural safety.

About the Role

You will be working as part of a 1:1 support model, providing dedicated in-home and community-based support for a participant and requiring high physical and medical support, including:
Full personal care (toileting, changing, hygiene support)
Assistance with daily routines and activities
Light domestic duties (cleaning, tidying, laundry, meal preparation)
Monitoring and reporting changes in health or wellbeing

Key Responsibilities
Deliver respectful, safe, and person-centred personal care
Follow care plans, manual handling procedures, and health instructions




Maintain transparent communication with family and professionals
Work effectively within a 1:1 support workplace
Ensure dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times
Support independence, choice, and quality of life

Essential Requirements
Female applicant (genuine occupational requirement due to personal care needs)
Certificate III in Disability, Individual Support, or equivalent (or higher)
Experience in high-care disability support (essential)
Experience with manual handling, personal care, and complex needs
Current Driver’s Licence (mandatory)
Own reliable transport (mandatory)
Working With Children Check
National Police Check / NDIS Worker Screening Check
First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
COVID-19 vaccination (including booster when eligible)
Solid communication and reliability
