The Role

As a Casual Chef with AVC, you will be responsible for:
Preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality meals
Working across various kitchen sections as required
Food preparation and mise en place
Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency
Following food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures
Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen
Working collaboratively with the kitchen and wider hospitality team
Assisting during busy service periods and functions when required

About You

We’re looking for someone who:
Has previous experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
Has a genuine passion for food and hospitality
Works well under pressure in a fast-paced workplace
Is reliable, punctual and well presented




Can work independently as well as part of a team
Has strong communication and organisational skills
Takes pride in cleanliness, food safety and quality
Has flexibility to work across weekdays, evenings and weekends
Holds Australian working rights

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience is highly regarded.
