The Ocean Beach Hotel is looking for a vibrant & motivated individual to join our team as a Bar Manager. The current position is on a Casual Basis under the HIGA General Award -Managerial Rates, with the potential for a Salary Position for the right candidate.

In this role you will support the business to maximise potential and provide professional & friendly service.

The role will require you to lead, manage & train Bar staff and make sure daily operations are running optimally.

Excellent communication skills are a must, together with versatility and a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities include opening & closing of the Hotel, Staff Supervision & Training, Shift Management and providing a safe & pleasant setting for staff & customers alike. This is a hands on role and will require you to be front of house and lead by example.

Your role will include:
Providing friendly, skilled & quality service to our patrons
Managing a positive & productive work environment for staff
Promoting the Venue & brainstorming ideas to reach current clientele




Ensuring compliance with OH&S; and RGL polices
Ensuring a clean, safe and well maintained venue at all times
Managing Bar & Cellar Operations, assisting in stock control and minimizing wastage
Overseeing Bars
Assisting in all Hotel departments as required to ensure smooth operation at all times

Applicants must:
Hold a current Approved Managers Certificate and National Police Clearance Certificate
Experience with POS, preferably the H & L System
Have a keen attention to detail
Demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills
Be self motivated & enthusiastic
Have the ability to work in fast paced and high pressure situations
Develop strong customer and colleague relations

Experience in a similar role is a must. The Roster of this role will include rotating day & night shifts as well as weekends. This position is an opportunity to further your career in Hospitality, whilst working with a professional Management Team.
