Experienced Forklift Operators – Transport & Logistics

Driver Hire Tasmania is looking for experienced Forklift Operators to support a number of our transport and logistics clients as we head into a busy period.

Our clients include major transport companies, express freight operations and 3PL warehouses, and we're looking for confident operators who can step into rapid-paced environments and contribute from day one.

About the Roles

Depending on the assignment, your duties may include:
Operating counterbalance forklifts safely and efficiently
Loading and unloading trucks and trailers
Moving, stacking and staging palletised freight
Putaway and stock movements within warehouse settings
Receiving and dispatching freight
RF scanning and freight checking
Pick and pack duties
Manual handling and general warehouse support
Working closely with drivers, warehouse teams and supervisors
Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work area

These are busy operational environments, so we're particularly interested in people who are comfortable on a forklift,



understand how freight operations work and can maintain safety and accuracy when the pressure is on.

What We're Looking For
Current LF Forklift Licence
Good recent forklift operating experience
Experience within transport, freight, warehousing or 3PL environments highly regarded
Confidence loading and unloading vehicles and handling palletised freight
Strong commitment to workplace safety
Reliable, punctual and ready to work
Positive communication skills and a team-focused attitude
Flexibility to work across different shifts and client sites
