Job Description

Workshop City is a licensed motor vehicle repair business (MRB11638) operating from Welshpool. We service and repair all makes and models, from Toyota and Ford through to European vehicles, and we also run a mobile service for customers who cannot get to the workshop.

We are looking for a qualified motor mechanic to join the team on a full time, ongoing basis.

What you will be doing

n

n
Logbook and standard servicing across passenger vehicles, 4WDs and light commercials
n
Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using workshop scan tools and test equipment
n
Brake, clutch, suspension and steering repairs and replacements
n
Cooling system work, head gasket repairs and engine replacements
n
Transmission servicing and repairs
n
Tyre fitting, wheel balancing and wheel alignments
n
Registration and pre-pits inspections
n
Fitting 4WD accessories such as lift kits, bull bars and driving lights
n
Road testing vehicles before and after repair, and confirming the fault is fixed
n
Quoting jobs,



ordering parts and explaining the work to customers in plain language
n
Attending mobile call-outs when required
n
Keeping accurate job cards and service records, and working to workshop safety procedures
n

What we are after

n

n
Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, or an equivalent overseas trade qualification
n
At least one years of experience in a workshop setting
n
Confident with diagnostic scan tools and electronic fault finding
n
Able to work across a range of makes and models rather than one brand
n
Eligible to be a certified tradesperson under the WA Motor Vehicle Repairers Act
n
Unrestricted right to work in Australia
n
