About the role

We are seeking an experienced sewing machinist to join our small, friendly team and help produce high-quality, beautifully finished Roman blinds.

Key responsibilities
Sewing linings using an industrial plain sewing machine.
Crease & tape linings.
Measure and cut fabric accurately.
Produce Roman blinds and soft furnishings to high-quality standards.
Follow specialised methods for making Roman blinds to ensure consistency and quality.

About you
Solid attention to detail, with a commitment to precision and exceptional workmanship
Fluent in English, with the ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
Reliable, punctual, self-motivated,



and proactive approach

Gilligans Blinds & Custom Furnishings is a boutique workroom located in Mulgrave, specialising in custom-made Roman blinds and soft furnishings for the interior design industry.

Work Conditions
Workroom hours - Monday to Thursday: 8 am – 4 pm & Friday: 8 am – 2 pm
Hours are negotiable for the right applicant – 3 days to 5 days per week
