Peuker & Alexander are a leader in the supply of prefabricated timber wall frames and trusses to Victoria’s building industry.

We are currently looking for a Work Health and Safety Officer to join our team. This is a outstanding opportunity for the right person!

Responsibilities:
Maintain WHS policies, procedures and protected work practices
Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, regulations and codes of practice
Weekly inspections of the Campbellfield and Dandenong South plants
Monitor use of PPE and adherence to safety procedures
Assist with incident reporting at the production plants or on building sites
Maintain WHS registers, training records and documentation
Assist with return-to-work programs





Qualifications & Experience:

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following:
Certificate IV in WHS (minimum)
Proven experience in a similar role
Experience in a construction, manufacturing, logistics and/or carpentry company (desirable but not essential)
Solid knowledge of the relevant WHS legislation, regulations and codes of practice
Ability to work independently and travel between work sites
High level competency with computer software systems, particularly Microsoft Office applications
