The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a
Senior Legal Counsel
based in either
Melbourne
or
Sydney
to join this high-performing legal team.
In this role you will work at the centre of their major infrastructure projects, and support broader commercial strategy.
You will:
Draft, review and negotiate major project, construction and commercial agreements (including
EPC, ITC, Alliance, D&C;, PPP
and
consultancy
contracts)
Advise on
procurement strategies
,
tender processes
and
bid documentation
Provide commercially focused legal advice across major projects, infrastructure and development matters
Support contract management, risk allocation and project structuring
Partner with internal stakeholders to deliver successful project and commercial outcomes
Manage external legal advisers and supporting key project negotiations
The Candidate
You will be a construction, projects or infrastructure lawyer with approximately
8+ years' PQE
, gained within a reputable law firm or a leading in-house environment.
You will also bring:
Strong experience advising on
front-end construction, infrastructure
and
major projects
matters
Particular depth of experience in
rail infrastructure
is favourableDeep understanding of
construction contracting models
,
procurement frameworks
and
risk allocation principles
Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure, energy, and transport projects
Strong
commercial acumen
and the ability to influence senior stakeholders
Excellent
communication, negotiation
and
relationship management
skills

The ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and complex project workplace
