This isn't about having all the answers. It's about walking alongside families when things feel difficult.
Help parents recognise their strengths.
Help Parents to grow their parenting skills
Helping young people feel heard.
Helping children feel safe.
being someone families can rely on.
At Kanda, you'll work alongside children, young people and families experiencing challenging circumstances, supporting them to build safer, more stable futures.
Sometimes progress looks like a big breakthrough.
Sometimes it's a parent feeling more confident.
A young person reconnecting with school.
A family finding the right support.
Or a child being able to remain safely at home.
The small moments matter.
You might be a great fit if you:
Genuinely care about improving outcomes for children, young people and families
Can build trusting relationships while maintaining skilled boundaries
Use a respectful, strengths-based approach when working with families
Can listen without judgement and meet people where they're at
Are confident working alongside families to identify goals and build practical skills
Can work collaboratively with Child Safety, schools and community services
Are patient, reflective and able to stay calm when things become challenging
Understand that behaviour is communication and are curious about what sits underneath it
Can connect families with practical supports, services and opportunities
Want to do work that creates meaningful, lasting change
Are willing to learn, reflect and continue developing your practice
You do need to be willing to listen,

stay curious and walk alongside families as they work towards change.
