The Role
You will work directly with management to assess what is currently working, identify opportunities and implement practical improvements.




Your responsibilities may include:
Reviewing our existing website and e-commerce performance
Analysing Google Analytics and Google Search Console
Reviewing existing and previous Google Ads campaigns
Managing and improving Google Search and Google Shopping campaigns
Identifying products and categories with the best online sales potential
Improving product pages, titles, descriptions and online merchandising
Identifying opportunities to improve website conversion rates
Improving our organic Google search visibility (SEO)
Reviewing and improving our Google Business Profile
Developing email and customer remarketing campaigns
Helping promote clearance, promotional and slow-moving stock
Monitoring competitors and online pricing
Identifying opportunities to increase repeat customer sales
Setting up and improving conversion tracking
Reporting clearly on online sales, advertising costs and return on investment
Working with our existing website/technology providers where required
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is commercially minded, practical and hands-on.
You should have demonstrated experience with:
E-commerce websites
Google Ads
Google Shopping




Google Analytics
Google Search Console
SEO
Conversion optimisation
Digital sales
Online retail
Experience in consumer electronics, appliances or another retail environment would be highly regarded.
Most importantly, you need to understand the difference between marketing activity and actual sales.
We are interested in results such as:
Advertising spend website visits orders revenue gross profit
rather than simply clicks, impressions or social media followers.
The Initial Project
The first 8–12 weeks will focus on:
Understanding our existing digital performance
Identifying the biggest opportunities and problems
Fixing important tracking and website issues
Testing carefully selected digital marketing opportunities
Improving the online customer journey
Measuring the results
Providing management with a practical longer-term digital sales plan
