We are looking for a casual Junior Retail Assistant to join our team in our newsagency to cover the seasonal period. (Suited to 16 years and above). We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion to learn and work in retail. Successful applicants must be flexible with hours, be available to work a minimum of ******* hours per week and up to a maximum of 38 hours per week when required. Hours will include a Monday to Saturday roster and applicant must be reliable. Rostered hours will be between the hours of 8am to 6pm. For the right candidate, this chance has the potential to develop into a permanent position.
Typical responsibilities of the job include:
Sales, service and the promotion of products and services
Process cash,



credit and return transactions on sales
Maintain shop displays and daily housekeeping requirements
Complete Magazine and Paper Returns
Ideal candidate will have:
No experience is required (training to be provided)
Willingness to work in a team environment
Reliable
Flexible with working hours and able to cover shifts at short notice ie sick days/annual leave
Must pass a Police Check, this is mandatory for the role
Must complete Golden Casket training and pass to be eligible for the role
