Qualified Carpenter and 4th year Carpentry Apprentice
to join our growing team based in
Woodend, Victoria
. This is a
full-time position
offering an exciting chance to work on diverse carpentry and construction projects in a collaborative and professional environment. Whether you are a fully qualified tradesperson or nearing completion of your apprenticeship, this role will provide you with the chance to develop your skills, contribute to high-quality construction work, and progress your career in the carpentry and cabinet-making industry.
What you'll be doing
Execute carpentry tasks on residential and commercial construction projects with precision and attention to detail
Interpret building plans, specifications and technical drawings to guide project execution
Measure, cut, shape and fit timber and other materials according to project requirements
Install frameworks, flooring, roofing, wall and door systems to specification
Perform finishing work including sanding, staining and protective treatments on timber surfaces
Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition and participate in regular tool maintenance
Adhere to workplace health and safety standards, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
Collaborate effectively with other trades and construction team members on site
Support site supervisors and project managers to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget
For apprentices: continue development of practical carpentry skills under supervision of experienced tradespeople
What we're looking for
Current carpentry trade qualification or demonstrated completion of 2rd year apprenticeship (3rd and 4th year apprentices welcome to apply)
Strong understanding of building codes, standards and safe work practices within the carpentry trade




Proven ability to read and interpret building plans, technical drawings and specifications
Competency in the use of hand and power tools relevant to carpentry work
Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Reliable work ethic with strong time management and organisational abilities
Current or willingness to obtain a White Card (general construction induction card) or equivalent
Current driving licence (desirable for site-based work)
Previous experience in residential or commercial carpentry projects is highly valued
Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the trade
