Another Level is a family-owned business specialising in formwork, reinforced concrete and associated structural construction works.
We undertake commercial, industrial and civil construction projects and are committed to delivering projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard of quality.ResponsibilitiesThe Building Associate will provide full time work providing technical and site-based support to the company & construction operations, with particular focus on formwork, reinforced concrete and structural construction activities.
You will work closely with construction managers, site supervisors, subcontractors, engineers and other project personnel to coordinate construction activities and ensure works are undertaken in accordance with approved plans, specifications, safety requirements and project schedules.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssisting Construction Managers and site management with the planning, organisation and coordination of construction activities, particularly formwork and concreting works.Supervising and monitoring construction activities on site to ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, building requirements and project schedules.Interpreting architectural, structural and engineering drawings and providing technical assistance to construction personnel in relation to construction requirements.Coordinating labour, materials, plant and equipment required for formwork, reinforcement and concrete construction activities.Inspecting completed and ongoing construction works and identifying defects, non-conformances or issues requiring rectification.Monitoring the quality of formwork, reinforcement,
concrete placement and associated structural works and ensuring construction activities comply with project specifications and quality requirements.Assisting with site measurements, quantity calculations, material requirements and construction documentation.Liaising with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders to coordinate construction activities and resolve technical or site-related issues.Maintaining accurate records of site activities, inspections, measurements, progress and relevant construction documentation.Assisting with project scheduling and monitoring progress against construction programs, identifying potential delays and reporting issues to project management.Ensuring construction activities are undertaken in accordance with applicable workplace health and safety requirements, environmental requirements and company procedures.Participating in site inspections, meetings and coordination activities and preparing relevant reports and documentation as required.Skills and ExperienceAt least 1 year of work experienceRelevant qualifications in building, construction, civil engineering, building technology or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.Demonstrated experience in the construction industry, preferably in commercial, industrial or civil construction.Strong ability to interpret architectural, structural and engineering drawings and construction specifications.Experience coordinating construction activities, labour, materials, subcontractors and site resources.Sound understanding of construction quality control, site inspections and construction documentation.Knowledge of construction practices, workplace health and safety requirements and relevant building standards and regulations.Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a construction project team.
