Marketing Officer

Pay Rate: $58.59/hr + super

Seeking an experienced Marketing Officer to promote Bankstown Arts Centre’s programs, events and services. This contract suits someone who has marketed an arts, cultural or visitor attraction and knows how to turn campaigns into stronger audience engagement and attendance.
Working With Children Check: Current check required

Reporting to the Arts Centre Director, you will develop and deliver marketing and communications activity across digital and print channels. You will work with the Arts Centre team and Council’s Communications and Marketing team to reach diverse communities, grow participation and promote upcoming programs.

Key responsibilities
Plan and deliver marketing campaigns for exhibitions, programs and events.
Write and produce content for the website, email campaigns, social media and print materials.
Develop audience growth initiatives that engage Bankstown’s diverse communities.




Maintain website content and support the Arts Centre’s contact database and email campaigns.
Review audience, visitor and campaign data to identify prospects for improvement.
Work with internal teams and external stakeholders to increase awareness, attendance and participation.
Support the promotion and evaluation of Arts Centre services and events.

About you
You have hands-on marketing experience in an art gallery, museum, theatre, performing arts venue, cultural organisation or tourism attraction, including developing and implementing marketing strategies in that setting. You are a solid writer, a confident communicator and comfortable managing campaigns across several channels.
You will also bring a relevant qualification or substantial comparable experience, demonstrated digital marketing and audience engagement skills, and a current Working With Children Check. Experience with Adobe InDesign or Photoshop, email marketing platforms, CRM systems, media relations or multicultural audience engagement would be an advantage.
