About the Role
Reporting directly to theCFO, the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for the efficient management ofAccounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functionsfor Davies Bakery.
The role also providespayroll support when requiredand assists with financial reporting and month-end processes.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Managingend-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.




Reviewing supplier invoices for appropriate documentation and approvals prior to payment.
Preparing and processing supplier payments.
Posting accounting transactions to journals, ledgers, and other financial records.
Reconciling accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies and supplier queries.
Processing customer receipts and collections.
Performingcredit card reconciliations.
Administeringpetty cash.
Preparing accurate and timely reports, includingcash flow analysis.
Assisting withmonth-end closing and financial reporting.
Maintaining accurate financial documentation in line with company policy and accounting standards.
Supporting payroll processing when required.
Working with theGlobalBake ERP systemto ensure accurate transaction processing and reporting.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
2+ years' experiencein an Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable or Assistant Accountant role.
Adegree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
StrongExcel and analytical skills.
Experience working withERP systems (GlobalBake experience highly regarded).
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
