An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experiencedAccounts Managerto join a well-established organisation undergoing a period of change and process improvement.
This is ahands-on leadership role managing a team of 5, responsible for overseeing both the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, including offshore resources, while driving improvements across systems, processes and payment management.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will manage a team of 5 and take ownership of the AP/AR function, playing a key role in stabilising processes, resolving outstanding issues and establishing sustainable processes for the future.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing and supporting ateam of 5, including the day-to-day management of offshore resources
Providing direct oversight of both theAP and AR functions
Leading theclean-up of the AP ageing, including investigating and correctly applying mismatched payments
Establishing a regularAP payment run schedule across all regionsand ensuring adherence
Owning the resolution ofShopify/Sage API integration issues, including returns and credits processing
Working closely with internal systems teams and external providers to resolve system and process issues
Evaluating and, where viable, implementing theOCR solutionidentified by Richard Ellis
Reviewing and improving existing AP/AR processes to improve accuracy, efficiency and visibility
Buildingsustainable processes and proceduresthat can be successfully handed over to a permanent hire or existing team members at the conclusion of the engagement
Supporting the Financial Controller with reporting,



process improvements and ad hoc finance requirements
About You
You will be a proactive and hands-on finance qualified who is comfortable taking ownership, leading a team and implementing practical solutions.
Key requirements:
Proven experience managingAccounts Payable and Receivable functions
Experience managing and developing ateam of 5 or similar-sized team
Strong Accounts Payable experience, ideally within a high-volume environment
Experience managingoffshore finance resources
Strong understanding of AP ageing, payment runs, reconciliations and payment allocation
Experience troubleshootingsystems integrations and process issues
Strong systems and process improvement capability
Ability to establish structure, improve processes and leave behind sustainable solutions
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Comfortable working hands-on while also providing leadership and oversight
Systems Experience
Experience withSagehighly regarded
Exposure toShopify and API integrations
Experience withOCR solutionsor automated invoice processing systems
Strong ERP and finance systems experience
