Our client, a well-established Australian manufacturer of engineered mechanical equipment and attachments, is looking for a Quality Control Officer to join their team in Gold Coast, QLD.

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager. The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented skilled with proven experience in product inspection, strong knowledge of regulatory standards, and a data-driven approach to root-cause problem-solving. This role supports the management and compliance of ISO 9001 standards across the business and helps drive continuous improvement throughout operations.

Responsibilities
Assist in the development and implementation of quality control processes, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistency, reliability, and compliance with quality standards and regulations
Conduct inspections and audits of production processes, materials, components, and finished products to identify quality issues, defects, or non-conformances
Support the Quality team in maintaining certification to ISO 9001
Provide ongoing oversight of quality awareness and control within Production
Support the Quality team and other personnel in investigating production-related quality issues, both internal and external
Document and report quality findings, deviations,



and corrective actions; maintain accurate records, logs, and inspection reports for traceability and accountability
Undertake regular quality audits on the integrity and implementation of production activities, including equipment used and product preservation, in line with company procedures
Assist the Quality team in ensuring inspection, measuring, and test equipment is suitably calibrated or verified
Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business

Key Requirements
Experience with ISO 9001 required
Experience in internal auditing, quality, or a related field essential
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
Good understanding of quality control procedures and relevant production standards
Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to managing business requirements
Robust communication and problem-solving skills
Valuable working knowledge of manufacturing principles
Background in machinery design, fabrication, or engineered equipment manufacturing
Exposure to the automotive or mining equipment industries
