Field Service Technician – $130k–$140k + Overtime

Macrospec is growing, and we're looking for an experiencedField Service Technicianto join our team in North Geelong.
We service and support leadingegg grading, packing and processing equipmentacross Australia.
This is a hands‐on role where no two days are the same — one call might have you fault‐finding PLCs, drives and sensors, and the next working on conveyors, bearings, chains or pneumatics.
What you'll be doing
Install, commission, service and maintain automated processing equipment.
Fault-find and repairelectrical, PLC/control and mechanical systems.
Work directly with customers across egg and poultry operations.
Complete preventative maintenance and breakdown work.
Train customers on newly installed equipment.
Maintain service records, tools, equipment and your company vehicle.
Work safely and follow customer site and farm biosecurity requirements.
What we're looking for
You'll be a practical, experienced technician who candiagnose the problem and fix it, rather than simply change parts.
You'll need:
CurrentElectrical Disconnect/Reconnect licence (Class D or equivalent).
Strong experience with automated, PLC-controlled machinery.
Solid mechanical skills — drives, chains, bearings, gearboxes,



conveyors and pneumatics.
Ability to work independently on customer sites.
Good communication skills and a skilled approach with customers.
Highly regarded:
A-grade electrical licence, Siemens/Allen-Bradley PLC experience, food/packaging machinery experience, poultry industry experience, forklift or working-at-heights tickets.

The travel
You'll be based at ourNorth Geelong workshop, with day travel across Victoria and approximatelyone week in every four outside Victoria.
