As we continue to expand our Industrial Plastics division, we're seeking an experienced and commercially drivenBusiness Development Managerto identify new opportunities, develop strategic customer relationships, and accelerate business growth.
Reporting to theNational Sales Managerand working closely with theExecutive Team, you will lead the growth strategy for ourIndustrial Plastics business.
You'll focus on identifying new market opportunities, developing high-value customer partnerships, and collaborating across the business to deliver sustainable sales growth.
Based in eitherMelbourne, Sydney or Albury, you'll play a key role in strengthening Whites Group's position across priority market segments including manufacturing, outdoor furniture, marine applications, animal shelters, and other industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Identifying and securing new business opportunities across Industrial Plastics markets.
Building and managing strategic relationships with key customers.
Developing tailored commercial proposals and solutions to meet customer needs.
Achieving sales revenue and gross profit targets.
Providing market intelligence, competitor insights, and customer feedback to support business decisions.
Becoming a trusted technical advisor on Industrial Plastics products and manufacturing capabilities.
Working closely with Manufacturing, Marketing, Products & Sourcing, Customer Service, and Executive stakeholders.
Supporting trade shows, industry events, and market development initiatives.
Skills/Experience
Proven success in business development, sales growth, and key account management.
At least three years' experience in a business development or similar commercial role.
Experience within Industrial Plastics, manufacturing, building products, or a related industry (highly regarded).
Robust commercial acumen and analytical capability.
Experience using CRM systems to manage customer relationships and sales activities.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
A proactive, self-starting approach and the ability to work independently.
