We are partnering with a large, well-established organisation seeking an experiencedSafety Leadto support a major distribution operation inMelbourne's western suburbs.
This is a hands‐on role combining strategic safety leadership with practical operational support.
You'll work closely with leaders and frontline teams to manage risk, strengthen safety capability and continue building a proactive safety culture across a fast-paced 24/7 environment.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Safety, you'll be a key safety partner to the operation with responsibilities including:
Partner with operational leaders to deliverH&S; strategy, priorities and safety initiativesthat drive continuous improvement.
Provide hands‐on support acrossincident and hazard management, risk assessments, contractor management, emergency management and safe work practices.
Lead and supportincident investigations, analyse safety trends and provide practical insights and recommendations to management.
ProvideH&S; advice, coaching and training, helping leaders and frontline teams build capability and greater ownership of safety.

compliance and continuous improvement, including safety communications, audits, training requirements and regulatory matters.
About You
We're looking for a practical and engaging safety professional who is comfortable working with senior leaders while remaining visible and connected to frontline operations.
You will ideally bring:
A relevantWork Health & Safety qualificationand at least3 years' experience in a WHS role.
Experience withinwarehousing, distribution, manufacturing or a similar operational environment.
Strong knowledge ofWHS legislation, Codes of Practice and relevant Australian or industry standards.
Hands‐on experience withincident investigations, risk assessments, plant and equipment safety and Safe Work Practice training.
Strongcommunication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with a pragmatic and commercially aware approach to safety.
