Mechanical Fitters - Premium Permanent Role | Rotating Roster
After several long-standing team members recently retired, we're looking for experienced Mechanical Fitters to step intogenuine permanent positionswith one of Australia's leading steel manufacturers.
This isn't a short-term opportunity.
We're looking for Fitters who want tosettle in, learn the plant and build a long-term career with the business.
The Opportunity
Join an experienced maintenance team responsible for keeping a large-scale steel manufacturing operation running safely and reliably.
You'll be hands-on across preventative and breakdown maintenance, fault finding and repairs on heavy industrial equipment.
The Roster
4 Days On / 4 Days Off
2 x Day Shifts - 6:00am to 6:00pm
2 x Night Shifts - 6:00pm to 6:00am
4 days off
Roster provided six months in advance

What You'll Be Doing
Preventative,



predictive and breakdown maintenance
Mechanical fault finding and repairs
Working on hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps and rotating equipment
Installation, alignment and overhaul of mechanical components
Supporting plant reliability and minimising downtime
Working to high safety and maintenance standards
About You
Trade-qualifiedMechanical / Maintenance Fitter
Experience in heavy manufacturing, steel, mining, industrial processing or similar
Robust mechanical fault-finding skills
Experience with heavy industrial plant and equipment
Comfortable working rotating day and night shifts
Strong safety focus and a team-first attitude
Able to complete a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
