Health & Safety Manager | Renewable Energy
Morson Edge Australia is proud to be partnering with ACCIONA Energía, a global renewable energy leader, to appoint a Health & Safety Manager to lead H&S; across their Australian business.
This is a senior opportunity for an experienced H&S; professional looking to take ownership of safety culture, systems and performance across a growing renewable energy organisation.
The Prospect
Senior H&S; leadership position with a global renewable energy business
Melbourne-based with regular travel to sites nationally
Lead and develop a team of 2–3 H&S; Coordinators
Work directly with senior management and operational leaders
Opportunity to influence H&S; strategy, culture and critical risk management across Australia
Global exposure, working closely with ACCIONA Energía's international teams
Duties
Lead and develop the Health & Safety team, fostering a high-performing and accountable culture
Drive continuous improvement in H&S; culture, systems, performance and outcomes
Partner with senior management and site leaders to influence safety behaviours and performance
Provide expert H&S; advice to senior leaders, directors and operational teams
Lead critical risk management, contractor assurance and H&S; improvement initiatives
Maintain and continually improve the H&S; management system in line with Australian legislation and global requirements
Support ISO ***** compliance and H&S; assurance activities
Lead and support incident investigations, corrective actions and lessons learned




Develop and coordinate H&S; training, awareness and wellbeing programs
Monitor and report on H&S; performance across the Australian business
Conduct regular site visits and maintain strong engagement with operational teams
Support bids, project management plans and other commercial activities when required
Assist with the development and management of the annual H&S; budget
Skills & Experience
15+ years' experience in H&S;/HSEQ roles across construction, energy, manufacturing or operational environments
Relevant degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety, Quality or a related discipline
Strong knowledge of Australian H&S; legislation, systems and compliance requirements
Proven experience leading and developing H&S; teams and influencing senior stakeholders
Strong ISO ***** experience, with exposure to ISO **** and ISO ***** highly regarded
Certification in auditing and incident investigation is essential
Robust communication, influencing and negotiation skills
Experience driving organisational change and continuous improvement
Ability to travel regularly to interstate sites and internationally when required
