Job Description
I'm currently working exclusively on a senior mandate for a Commercial Director (Finance) with an ANZ-wide, PE-backed Professional Services business headquartered in Melbourne.
This is a trusted senior commercial advisor role, sitting alongside a Brand CEO and their leadership team — translating financial performance into commercial insight, owning the interpretation of the P&L;, and driving forward-looking decision-making across revenue pipeline forecasting and the budgeting cycle.
A bit about the role:
Act as lead commercial finance partner to the CEO and senior stakeholders across the group
Own monthly P&L; interpretation and commercial storytelling
Lead revenue pipeline forecasting and the annual budget cycle
Build driver-based Excel models across P&L;, pipeline, headcount and margin
Bring proactive commercial recommendations,



supporting new business lines, pricing, margins and cost drivers
Partner with Group Finance on consolidation, board reporting and PE-related reporting requirements
I'm looking for:
CA/CPA qualified, 8+ years post-qualification experience
Strong commercial finance business partnering or FP&A; background, ideally supporting a CEO or MD-level stakeholder
Experience in a people-intensive services or professional services environment - highly regarded
Exposure to a PE-backed or multi-entity group environment – highly regarded
Advanced Excel, modelling and forecasting skills - essential
Ability to manage competing priorities across a rapid-paced, multi-brand environment
