This role will be based in Grafton covering the North Coast precinct.

Key responsibilities

This role is hybrid friendly meaning adaptable work options may be available.

Supports the delivery of road safety outcomes across the region through the investigation of safety issues, application of Secure System principles, and delivery of programs that provide community safety outcomes.
n
Coordinate road safety reviews, applying a Safe System approach to identify risks and recommend evidence-based improvements.
n
Provide clear and timely safety advice to external agencies, and community stakeholders to improve network performance and customer safety.

What you need

n

n
Experience in undertaking safety assessments, crash investigations, and/or speed zone reviews, with ability to analyse and interpret technical data.
n
Robust stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, with experience collaborating across councils, government agencies, and community groups.
n
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports, provide advice, and represent Transport in public forums.
