We are a proudly Australian-owned meat processing facility based in Dandenong South, currently seeking a Skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our team.

About the Role
n
As a Skilled Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for performing daily maintenance tasks across our processing plant. This includes machine fault-finding, preventative maintenance, equipment optimisation, and general troubleshooting to ensure production targets are met with minimal downtime.
n
You will play a key role in supporting our proactive maintenance program, contributing to continuous improvement in both equipment performance and workplace safety.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across plant machinery and equipment
n
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment
n
Work with conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and undertake welding repairs as needed
n
Respond to breakdowns quickly to minimise disruption to operations
n
Maintain clean and hygienic work areas in accordance with site standards
n
Ensure safe work practices and compliance with WHS policies
n
Contribute to a positive,



team-oriented maintenance culture

Skills and Experience
n
n
Trade qualified Maintenance Fitter
n
Proven mechanical experience in a meat or food-processing environment
n
Strong mechanical aptitude with demonstrated experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment (preferred)
n
Sound knowledge of conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and welding
n
Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
n
Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
n
Versatile with shift work and availability to work overtime when required
n
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
n
