UHI Machinery is looking for a reliable and hands-on
Workshop Assistant
to join our Brisbane team in Rocklea.
n
This is a full-time role supporting our workshop and mechanical team with the preparation, assembly, inspection and maintenance of construction and agricultural machinery.
n
The role is ideal for someone who is mechanically minded, enjoys hands‐on work and is looking to develop their skills and experience within the machinery industry.
Key responsibilities n
n
Assist mechanics with servicing, repairs and maintenance of machinery
n
Assist with
PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection)
and preparation of new machines before customer delivery
n
Assist with the assembly and installation of machinery, attachments and accessories
n
Carry out basic mechanical and workshop tasks under the direction of experienced mechanics
n
Assist with diagnosing and checking basic mechanical issues
n
Help with loading, unloading and moving machinery around the workshop and yard
n
Maintain tools, equipment and workshop areas
n
Keep the workshop and yard clean, safe and organised
n
Assist with general workshop duties as required
n
About you n
n
Previous experience in a
workshop, mechanical, automotive, construction or machinery workplace
is preferred
n
Mechanically minded with good practical and hands‐on skills
n




Experience with construction or agricultural machinery is an advantage
n
Basic knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics or mechanical systems is highly regarded
n
Current Australian driver's licence preferred
n
Forklift licence is an advantage
n
Physically fit and comfortable working in a hands‐on environment
n
Reliable, responsible and willing to learnAble to work independently and as part of a team
n
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
n

$70,000 – $80,000 + super
n
