MoTeC, a Bosch company, is a global leader in specialist automotive electronics and technology for the motorsport industry.

We are looking for a commercially minded Management Accountant to join our close-knot finance team and play an important role in supporting business performance and growth.
n
Working closely with the Finance Manager and operational teams, you will provide financial analysis, reporting and commercial insights across budgeting, forecasting, cost control and year-end reporting.
n

Position Requirements

Management Reporting & Analysis
n
n
Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts and financial reports.
n
Analyse financial performance against budgets, forecasts and prior periods.
n
Investigate significant variances and provide clear explanations and recommendations.
n
Develop meaningful financial insights to support management decision-making.
n
Prepare monthly reporting packs for the Head Office of the parent company.
n

Budgeting & Forecasting
n
n
Coordinate the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
n
Work with department managers to develop realistic budgets and financial plans.
n
Monitor performance against budget and identify emerging risks and opportunities.
n
Assist with long-term financial planning and business modelling.
n
n




Cost & Performance Management
n
n
Analyse product, project, labour and operating costs.
n
Monitor margins, overheads and cost drivers.
n
Support cost-control initiatives and identify opportunities for efficiencies.
n
Assist with inventory, working capital and cash-flow analysis.
n
Analyse financial impacts of new projects, products and commercial opportunities.
n
n
Financial Control & Compliance
n
n
Maintain strong financial controls and ensure the integrity of financial information.
n
Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes.
n
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
n
Support external audit, tax and statutory reporting requirements.
n
Ensure accounting policies and procedures are consistently applied.
n

About You
n
You will be an analytical, commercially focused finance professional who enjoys understanding why the numbers are changing, not simply reporting what they are.
n
You will have:
n
n
Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline.
n
Several years' experience in management accounting, financial accounting or a similar commercial finance role.
n
Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills.
n
Experience working with ERP systems.
n
Solid attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team.
n
A flexible and 'can-do' attitude.
n
n
Desirable Experience
n
Experience in one or more of the following would be advantageous:

Manufacturing or engineering environments.
n
Technology or software businesses.
n
Inventory and supply-chain accounting.

Budgeting and forecasting.

International or multi-entity organisations.
