Play a key role in shaping the culture, pedagogy, and quality of our service.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced early childhood professional who is passionate about leading educators, strengthening practice, and creating an exceptional experience for children and families.
You will work closely with the Approved Provider and Centre Manager, who will be onsite and available to support you.
You will also be backed by the wider Kool Kidz Central Support team, providing guidance, resources, and professional development.
About the Role
As Assistant Centre Manager / Educational Leader, you will have a significant influence on the day-to-day quality of education and care at Kool Kidz Coolaroo.
You will be responsible for mentoring and inspiring our educators, supporting consistent high-quality practice, and leading continuous improvement across the service.
Out-of-Ratio Position:This is an out-of-ratio leadership prospect, providing you with dedicated time to focus on educational leadership, team development, compliance, and quality improvement.
What You'll Be Doing
Educational Leadership & Mentoring
Lead, mentor, and inspireeducators to deliver high-quality early childhood education and care.
Support educatorsto reflect on their practice and strengthen their understanding of the EYLF and National Quality Standard.
Be a visible and approachablerole model for best practice.
Operations,



Compliance & Quality Assurance
Work alongsidethe Centre Manager and Approved Provider to support the effective operation of the service.
Lead the development, implementation, and review of the service's Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
Support the serviceto continuously improve and work towards exceeding the National Quality Standard.
Support compliancewith relevant legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Community & Culture
Run centre toursfor new enrolment enquiries and manage the centre's relationship with existing families.
Build strong, respectful, and professional relationshipswith children, families, and the local community.
Engage positivelyand professionally with families, responding to their needs with patience and understanding.
Develop positiveand collaborative relationships across the team to contribute to a workplace culture where educators feel supported, valued, and empowered to grow.
What We're Looking For

Qualifications & Experience
An approved Diplomaof Early Childhood Education and Care or higher.
Extensive experienceworking within the Early Childhood Education and Care sector.
Demonstrated experiencein an Educational Leader,



Nominated Supervisor, or leadership role.
Demonstrated abilityto mentor, coach, and develop educators.
Knowledge & Frameworks
Solid knowledgeof the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations.
Comprehensive understandingof the National Quality Framework (NQF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
Knowledge and understandingof the Victorian Child Safe Standards.
Skills & Core Traits
Excellent writtenand verbal communication skills.
Strong organisationaland time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
Strong computer literacyand confidence using digital systems.
The ability to buildpositive, respectful, and professional relationships with children, families, and educators.
Compliance & Certifications
A currentWorking with Children Check or VIT registration.
CurrentChild Protection training.
CurrentFirst Aid, Anaphylaxis, CPR, and Asthma certification.
A currentdriver's licence.
