As a Consultation Liaison Nurse, you will play a key role in supporting the mental health care of patients within Barwon Health's bed-based generalist settings.

Key responsibilities

Working directly with patients and their families, you will provide expert mental health and alcohol and other drug (AOD) assessment, risk assessment and evidence-based interventions.

You will also work closely with generalist staff, providing clinical guidance, education and support to build their capacity to recognise and respond to the mental health needs of patients.
n
This is a agile and cooperative role where you will act as an key link between hospital and mental health services, supporting coordinated, recovery-oriented and person-centred care.

Provide comprehensive mental health, psychosocial, AOD and risk assessments, along with evidence-based brief interventions.

What you need
n
n
Formal recognised qualifications in Mental Health Nursing, including a Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing.
n
Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse.
n
Significant experience in mental health and AOD assessment and treatment.
