We provide specialised disability support services including Supported Independent Living (SIL), community participation, in-home support, Short-Term Accommodation (STA), Medium-Term Accommodation (MTA), respite and complex support services.

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable and motivated Personal Care Assistant to join our team in Buronga, New South Wales.
n

About the Role
n
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide person-centred personal care and daily living support based on each participant's individual needs, preferences and support plan.
n
You will support participants in their homes and, where required, within the community, helping them maintain their independence, dignity, comfort and wellbeing.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Provide respectful, person-centred personal care to NDIS participants.
n
Assist participants with personal hygiene, showering, bathing, dressing and grooming.
n
Support participants with toileting and continence care where required.
n
Assist with mobility, transfers and positioning in accordance with individual support plans and safe work practices.
n
Support participants with meal preparation and eating where required.
n
Assist with daily living activities and household tasks.
n
Support participants to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable living environment.
n
Assist participants with their daily routines while promoting independence and choice.
n
Provide support with community access and appointments where required.
n
Support participants to achieve their individual goals.
n
Follow individual support plans, behaviour support plans and organisational procedures.
n
Complete accurate progress notes, incident reports and other required documentation.
n
Administer medication where appropriately trained and authorised.
n
Report changes in participant wellbeing, incidents or concerns appropriately.
n
Maintain professional boundaries and respect each participant's privacy, dignity, choices and rights.
n
Communicate effectively with participants, families, support coordinators and the Value Care team.
n
Promote a safe, respectful and inclusive environment at all times.
n

About You
n

Be flexible and willing to work across a range of shifts, including weekends where required.

Essential Requirements
n
n
Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services, Aged Care or a relevant qualification.
n
Minimum 1-2 years' experience in personal care, disability, aged care or a related support role.
n
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain.
n
Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain.
n
Current Police Check or willingness to obtain.
n
Current First Aid and CPR certificates, or willingness to obtain.
n
Valid Australian Driver Licence.
n
Own reliable and insured vehicle, where required.
n
Ability to provide satisfactory employment references.
n
