Social Worker Mental Health Service for Older Persons, South Dublin

Cpl Healthcare in partnership with our client, the HSE are recruiting for a to work as part of a community based adult mental health service based, specialising in Mental Health Service for Older Persons basedin Donnybrook, Dublin 4, the role will also involve working with some inpatients in a mental health unit.

The team works with service users and their families living with responsible mental illnesses including a diagnosis of Schizophrenia and Bi Polar Disorder, depression, anxiety and emotional dysregulation.

The mental health of older adults programme specialises in the mental healthcare of the elderly with a focus on depression and dementia in later life.



The overall aims of the service are to facilitate and promote wellness and functional independence with a focus on the barriers to positive quality of life rather than on diagnoses.

Essential requirements are:

A recognised qualification as a Social Worker with CORU registration
n
Some post graduate experience as a social worker with a significant amount of experience working in a mental health or similar setting. Placement experience will also be considered
n
Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team
n
Additional training / qualifications in therapeutic approaches to working with adults
