Customer Service Officer
to support a busy local government customer service team in Ballina.
n
This is an
ongoing casual opportunity with an ASAP start
, ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, customer-focused workplace and has strong administration skills.
Key Responsibilities n
n
Provide high-quality face-to-face, phone and email customer service.
n
Respond to customer enquiries and assist with Council-related forms and applications.
n
Process cash, EFTPOS and cheque payments, including reconciliations.
n
Perform a variety of administrative duties including data entry, document management and records maintenance.
n
Assist with development applications, animal registrations and customer requests.
n




Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
n
About You n
n
Previous experience in a customer service role, ideally involving cash handling and administration.
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
n
Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
n
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
n
Certificate III in a relevant field and/or equivalent experience highly regarded.
n
Desirable n
n
Experience in a local government environment.
n
Knowledge of the Ballina region and local community.
n
Experience in clerical or administrative support positions.
n
