n to join our Project Delivery Section within the Community Infrastructure Group.
n
In this role, you will provide quality surveying services to
n support the planning, design and delivery of Council's infrastructure works and
n projects. Working across a diverse range of civil infrastructure, you will
n undertake engineering and investigation surveys, construction set out and Works
n as Executed surveys, while providing specialist surveying advice to project
n teams and stakeholders.
n
This role is ideal for an experienced surveyor who enjoys a
n mix of field and technical work, working across varied infrastructure projects
n and contributing specialist expertise to projects that deliver lasting benefits
n for our community.
n
To be successful in this position you will have:
n
n
A Diploma in Surveying or a related discipline, or considerable relevant experience within the surveying industry
n
Demonstrated experience using survey equipment including electronic distance measuring equipment, robotic survey equipment, total stations and GNSS
n
Experience using survey and CAD software such as 12D and AutoCAD to prepare survey plans
n
Sound knowledge of survey infrastructure and the regulations and processes associated with its protection, preservation and management
n
Strong written, verbal, numeracy and interpersonal communication skills
n
A current Class C Driver Licence
n

On a typical day you will:
n
n
Undertake investigation and engineering survey works for Council infrastructure projects
n




Investigate cadastral boundary information and transform survey information to the appropriate geodetic network
n
Investigate and verify above and below-ground utility locations
n
Undertake construction set-out activities and Works as Executed surveys
n
Prepare survey plans and process survey data using specialist survey and CAD software
n
Provide specialist engineering survey advice and support to Council project teams
n
Support project planning activities in accordance with Council's Project Management Framework
n
Coordinate external survey consultants and contractors when specialist or additional survey services are required
n
Maintain survey data collection systems, standards and quality processes
n
Ensure survey equipment is appropriately maintained, serviced and calibrated
n
Undertake risk assessments and ensure appropriate controls are in place for survey activities
n

Employment Type:

Full Time, Permanent, 35 hours per week
n
Starting salary of $80,****** to $90,****** per annum
n depending on skills and experience, plus 12% Super and Tool of Trade vehicle.
