Job Description
The successful applicant will teach a range of Humanities subjects from Year 7 History through to Year 12 Ancient History. This is a 0.8 FTE position, with teaching duties anticipated across Tuesday to Thursday each week.

Key responsibilities

Deliver engaging, rigorous and well-structured Humanities and History lessons across Years 7-12.
n
Teach and lead learning in QCE Ancient History, supporting students to achieve strong academic outcomes.
n
Develop and implement high-quality curriculum, assessment and moderation practices aligned with Australian Curriculum and QCAA requirements.
n
Prepare students effectively for internal and external assessment programs.
n
Contribute to the school's curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
n
Maintain high skilled standards and actively engage in ongoing professional development.

About you
n
n
Current registration with, or eligibility for registration with, the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT).
n
Significant experience teaching Secondary Humanities and History across Years 7-12.
n
Demonstrated experience teaching QCE Senior Ancient History.
n
Strong knowledge of QCAA Senior Syllabus requirements, including curriculum planning,



assessment design, quality assurance processes and external assessment preparation.
n
Experience with QCAA endorsement, confirmation and internal review processes.
n
Evidence of strong student outcomes and achievement in Senior Ancient History.
n
The ability to analyse student achievement data and implement strategies to maximise student success.
n
Strong organisational skills, initiative and attention to detail.
